on occasion I drive into work but I prefer using public transportation. To say the least it is cheaper than paying to park downtown and honestly, I drive like I could place at least 3rd in a professional nascar race and It's best I drive when necessary . lol I tend to become overwhelmed by the boisterous sounds of horns and sirens and the constant braking one must do to avoid an accident every three minutes. To maintain my peace of mind I muster through the clammy bus ride and go about my day. It's the SAME rattling bus each day. This is My routine and I've done it for months now. It's become second nature to where I subconsciously look up to my bus as it slows down to my stop. (Follow me, because I'm going somewhere, I promise). I chant, "Phone, keys, laptop", in order to be prepared for my destination because I've taken on the understanding that I'm going somewhere and i have to be ready. It's the same rattling bus each day. This is My routine and I've done it for months now. It's become second nature to where I subconsciously look up to my bus as it slows down to my stop. (Follow me, because I'm going somewhere, I promise). I chant, "Phone, keys, laptop", in order to be prepared for my destination because I've taken on the understanding that I'm going somewhere and I have to be ready .
On a very windy Monday I waited for a bus with my belongings and toggled with my phone within my spare minutes. I chanted, " phone, keys, laptop" one last time because I could see a bus coming but as it got closer, I didn't walk up to it because it didn't look like what I expected. Slowly the bus number was visible, and the Holy Spirit prompted, " it's an upgrade". I speedily walked up with my things in hand and i could see there was a change of bus style for my particular route because the old one was no longer qualified. It was "overdue" for an upgrade as the bus attendant said. I walked into a bus that was comfortable, air conditioned, and had dimmed recess lighting which was perfect for any tired eye. Even as others after I got in, I saw their expression to be just like mine. They too were in awe of a much-needed upgrade and taken aback as it was truly unexpected. I sat down on that bus and God spoke words to me I'll take remember forever.
He said " In this season I want you to expect the unexpected and continue to be hopeful in my promise to you. People sometimes miss what is intended for them because it does look like what their use to. It's not coming in the same package as it did for others nor is it arriving in your time. I'm the God that blows your mind when I do a thing and YOU know this to be true. The time has come for you to be ready and in expectation of my (Gods) very best because you're in your now". Yall, the bus came from a source I was unfamiliar with. It was outside of my understanding, and I literally couldn't compute without the help of the Holy Spirit that God had made it happen before my eyes. A season of waiting has transitioned into a season of NOW. As I'm hearing God's vioice, we are in a season of breakthrough, and we cannot be complacent nor can we use old wine skins for new favor. We must seek God daily, and pray over our minds that you do not miss your mark and that he opens your eyes to his will. I encourage you to take this word to God for confirmation but your season is now to step out on faith and become !
Love always. K
